The British designer proves every season his ability to adapt and evolve his imagination with edgy pieces and wonderful reinventions of classic clothes like suits or trench coats.

JW Anderson SS20

For SS20, its all about knitting and tailoring for JW. Colorful propositions – including a funny and very granny-like version of the rasta beret – and unstructured two pieces suits took the main frame of his Paris Fashion Week’s show as well as the hippy inspired patterns displayed in some of the creations.

JW Anderson SS20

From demure tones of black, white and beige to more seasonal appropriate blue, pink, green and yellow pastels defined Anderson’s palette for 2020, alongside with cut out jumpers and his vision of the trench with additional sleeves or his likes for the use of crochet in mens and womenswear designs.

What concerns to footwear, the presence of a mule variation of the penny loafer in leather and velvet in a wide range of colors – for both ladies and gentlemen -, and unisex sandals with a Roman look and platform were the main proposals the Irish man put the models to walk the runway.

Though it was the menswear collection, women pieces took the stage in the same inspirational line as the first ones. Knit and suits, suits and knit. And tassels. And golden and silver totes and rucksacks together with a funny cap-shaped handbag to complete a SS20 collection that conquered the crowd and that will surely be enjoyed by the sea and across the main avenues worldwide.

Knitting needles on guard, sophistication is the motto.
