A week before the start of the next (men’s) edition of Paris Fashion Week (PFW) and with everything almost ready to unveil the Autumn/Winter 2022-23 collections of the main fashion houses, we have been able to see, after the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode revealed its calendar, that the vast majority of the participating brands will hold their events digitally.
On this occasion, the French fashion week will only have 17 shows, including those of Dior Homme, Louis Vuitton, Loewe, Hermés, Rick Owens, Y/Project, Lemaire and Jil Sander, and the debuts of Nigo as creative director of Kenzo and the British designer Bianca Saunders.
As for the other brands, 29 of them, including Études, Isabel Marant, Acné Studios, Issey Miyake and Casablanca, will hold their event in presentation format. Finally, the remaining 30 will present their proposals digitally, such as Yohji Yamamoto, GMBH, Courrèges, Dries Van Noten and Wales Bonner.
When will we ever again experience a fashion week like the ones of yesteryear? Without having to show our green pass, hopefully very soon. The best thing about all this? That each and every one of you will be invited to see the most important shows as if you were sitting in the very front row of the fashion show.
